Tired of suffering for my contraception: 2 actions now to change things! #payetacontraception

Table of contents

#PayeTaContraception : you have suffered or are suffering from your contraception :

2 things you can do right now to make a difference!

Inspired by the Manifeste féministe pour une contraception pleinement épanouissante (Feminist Manifesto for Fully Fulfilling Contraception) by independent feminist journalist Sabrina Debusquat.

A Through her manifesto, Sabrina continues to commit herself a little more to her fight for healthy, ethical contraception, respectful of women and men, and adapted to the challenges of OUR time (not that of our parents and grandparents).
With self-sacrifice and a profound intelligence of action, she leads a battle path. Today, with her manifesto, she is taking a further step towards theo be disseminated and popularized to bring it to life!

After reading his manifesto, which I had the honor of being able to sign, I felt a deep need to contribute to his approach.
Each and every one of us can now do something about the contraceptive burden. For while there are those who do 80% of popularization work (like Sabrina with her book "J'arrête la pilule" and her manifesto), the remaining 20% are of the order of collective, committed participation.

In "J'arrête la pilule" ("I've stopped taking the pill") the story behind the creation of the contraceptive pill and the independent studies of its recognized side-effects were revealed in great detail, revealing an almost morbid truth in no uncertain terms.
In this manifesto, Sabrina makes her position even clearer. No more tweezers for sensitive souls. The aim of this book is no longer to re-explain and demonstrate for the umpteenth time the real impact of the pill. Nor is it about convincing people of the devastating effects of synthetic hormones on the body, married life and the planet. The former already does that very well.

Now it's time to accelerate with concrete action.

Ainsi, for those who still deny that hormones are used for contraception:
- are at the origin of libido and desire disorders that can lead to real suffering as a woman and within the couple
- that women who were initially in very good health have health problems from the pill
- that ecological impact of these synthetic hormones on the planet is considerable and dramatic.
- and so on...
this article is not intended for you. There is no debate here, only a clear statement of the facts. Many books, researches and articles demonstrate what I have quoted. Perhaps sometime I'll make you a list of serious references on the subject!

Here I'm going to address those other women. Those who have suffered or are still suffering and who really want to contribute to change. I'm going to suggest simple, decisive actions for our future and that of our daughters, sisters, friends, etc.

But first, back to the manifesto. Sabrina is proposing a real action plan to bring about a change in mentality and behavior with regard to contraception. Ideally, the aim is to move towards a form of contraception that isn't solely focused on women, nor burdened with constraints, suffering or concessions, and so on.

To achieve this, we need to invest considerable resources on a variety of levels (mental, governmental, financial, ethical, etc.).
Of course, it's not us as individuals who are going to write new laws to ensure the integrity of the medical community in the face of the laboratories, or "de-mysogynize" our gynecologists as mentioned in the manifesto. But as women, there are two real and clearly significant actions we can take.

Here are the 2 actions I propose. They are our responsibility. It's time to stop complaining on our own and to speak out loud and clear about our experience as women, which is real and existing.

If all women concerned by the undesirable effects of the pill or hormones took these 2 actions, the government would be obliged to get things moving.

These 2 actions from the manifesto are simple, fast and powerful.

ACTION N°1 : I declare my side effects related to my hormonal contraception officially!

What are the side effects?
Decreased libido, vaginal dryness, depression, irregular bleeding, migraines, nausea, phlebitis, breast tenderness, bloating, emotional disorders, hypertension, high cholesterol, recurrent fungal infections, etc.

How to report side effects Click here : https://solidarites-sante.gouv.fr/soins-et-maladies/signalement-sante-gouv-fr/ in the "I report" section

I've put together a full tutorial to show you how it's done, which is quite simple (see at the end of this article).

Why declare? To quantify the reality of side effects, so that the state can no longer bury its head in the sand and turn a blind eye to reality.

Expressing yourself is good, but it's even better to do it in the right place! The right place to create change.

ACTION N°2 : I testify with the hashtag #payeTaContraception !

Tell your story on your blog, youtube, insta, facebook with the hashtag #PayeTaContraception.
It doesn't matter where, the main thing is to spread your reality and your experience.

Our future and that of our daughters is at stake. Doing TWO things that we can all do can make a big difference - it's your contribution!

And that's it! Let's stop complaining in silence and now act responsibly and consciously towards the world that inspires us. Let's all be part of this change, because there's strength in numbers!

If you too are committed to carrying out at least one of these 2 actions, write in the comments below this article: "I'm committed to doing action n° X #PayeTaContraception".
